The Foundation sees exciting opportunities to work with the northern grain industry mainly in the areas of research, development and extension. The Foundation is particularly focused on achieving its objectives through the investment in youth.

On the 1st January 2007, Grains Research Foundation Limited (GRFL), a not for profit incorporated company replaced the Grain Research Foundation, a statuaory authority.

One of GRFL's present major roles is to ensure that grain growers and other agri-business people have a substantial say in shaping the ongoing public grains research program.

With the Queensland grain industry having a GVP of approximately $600 Million annually and from this growers contributing approx $5 Million annually in compulsory research levies, it makes sense that growers be given an opportunity to influence the public research program.

Four (4) Queensland Research Advisory Committees (RACs) were established in 1992 with a majority grower membership to ensure that growers have this opportunity to influence research. This Website now gives you the opportunity to better understand the role of GRFL and the RACs, get to know the members, observe the advice they give and most importantly the Website provides you with a convenient and effective way for you to have your say.
